Deescouraging only had four starts at the track, never placing in one of her races. She earned a total of $510 throughout her brief racing career and was retired due to lack of competitiveness after her last race at Penn National Racetrack on 5/8/12 where she came in 12th place. She was sent to New Vocations to start retraining for a new career and was quickly adopted by Michelle Miller & her family in MD. Michelle reports, " Dee has been training hard to participate in the 2013 Totally Thoroughbred Horse Show at Pimlico. She was very much a super star! Placing 1st in the "Old Hilltop Leadline Class", 4th place in the in hand class, 5th place in walk/trot with her 15 yr old rider, and 3rd place in w/t/c. All classes were large and she was quite the lady for her first show."
