Reggie has been in training with a hunter/jumper trainer 4 days a week for the past 5 and a half years. His only weakness/limitation is due to having thin soles, which limits him to 2 ft 3 inch jumps and lower and causes him to have to have all 4 shoes with pads on the front 2. He has perfect ground manners, trailers well, and stands well for the farrier. At shows, hes always in the ribbons, even though hes usually a bit excited the first day there. The judges just love his beautiful face and confirmation and how he floats around the ring.
His perfect home/rider would be an older teen to young or middle aged adult. Someone looking to go from school horses to their own horse with a trainers guidance. Reggie does best with a steady work routine. Working 4 or 5 days a week at least. Hes not “bomb proof” but hes not “a hard ride” either. He backs down very easily if you tell him no when he’s being silly. I have even ridden him bareback and he was perfect. Hes one of those horses that always stops if they feel you come unbalanced in the saddle. He has saved me from many a fall when we first became team mates.
