Become a Homestretch Hero!
In a horse race, the “homestretch” is the final length the noble equine athletes travel between the last turn and the finish line. And while our horses have crossed the finish line of their racing careers, you can help them on their way down a new homestretch: racing towards their bright futures in new careers and safe, loving homes.
As a member of the new Homestretch Heroes monthly giving society, you’ll provide New Vocations with reliable, steady income to support our mission to rehab, retrain and rehome retiring racehorses.
Homestretch Heroes members will receive an exclusive Thoroughbred or Standardbred car magnet to show your commitment and support for aftercare, as well as recognition in our annual report and exclusive e-mail updates on how you’re making an impact!

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program
New Vocations is proud to be the oldest and largest racehorse adoption program in the country, serving more than 600 retired racehorses a year.
Since our inception in 1992, we've carried out our mission to rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome retired racehorses and placed more than 9,000 in adoptive homes. With nine facilities in Kentucky, Louisiana, New York, Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania, we continue to work with racing owners and trainers in need of aftercare options and with our adopters to find perfect homes for these most-deserving equine athletes.
