Kind and Loving Warhorse Ready for a Low-Key Life!

You'd never know it to interact with him, but Rockin Machine had his last start less than a month ago!  "Rocky" quickly transitioned into the riding horse lifestyle and has been enjoying leisurely hacks around the farm, turnout time with buddies, and all the treats!

• Leading and Ground Manners- Level 1  Rocky came in at the same time as two other recently raced geldings and he is the leader and level-headed guy of the group.  He is led easily with a plain halter and cotton lead rope.
• Grooming and Tacking- Level 1 Rocky stands quitely in the crossties for grooming and tacking, though he may paw a front leg if he thinks you have a treat!
• Horse Care- Level 2 Rocky is currently barefoot as he just came out of his racing plates and our farrier would like him to have some let down and time for regrowth.  He does have two differently shaped front feet and may need shoes again in the future.
• Riding- Level 1 Rocky acts like he has been a riding horse his whole life, standing at the mounting block without a handler, and riding quietly in and out of the arena. He will still need work on maintaining his gait through the corners and learning to bend. Rocky raced as a pacer and under saddle he will trot and pace.
• General Demeanor- Level 1 Rocky as mentioned is the quiet leader of his group.  Always focused on the task given to him, Rocky will quietly observe new things in his surroundings.  In turnout he is happy to let the rowdy boys wear themselves out, but doesn't take any bullying either!
• Physical Capability- Level 2 Rocky retired with no notable injuries, but is a bit over at the knee, and after his long and successful racing career we think he will most enjoy a lower-key second career.  We could see him being a fabulous trail horse, or enjoyable family friend.
