“Missy” is a horse with a heart that aims to please. She really bonds with her rider and is quite the character when she is comfortable! She works hard on what you ask of her but can (and will!) test your riding capacity. Her personality can range from a young silly child to an old wise soul, but each one is endearing.

Missy hasn’t had any serious behavior problems under tack or on the ground. She is very quick to pick up on new tasks, stands well for the vet and farrier and is good for wound and hoof care. She can get attached to horses close to her and will whinny/nicker when she’s on rides without them.

She does best splitting her time between a stall and a pasture.

Missy has done basic arena work, casual trail rides and work in large open fields. She can sometimes struggle picking up her nondominant canter lead in a canter and needs some work with crossing ditches and creeks. We’ve been working on these issues, however, and they’re getting better.

Missy would be best suited to moderate to experienced rider as she is still young and learning herself. But, with the right partner, she has the potential to excel in any discipline.
