The Little Engine That Could!

Melodies Major is a handsome and sturdy war horse with a strong work ethic and desire to please! This little horse earned nearly half a million in his time on the track.  We can see him enjoying endurance or gaming and gymkhana events, but we know he will try his heart out at whatever his adopter chooses!

• Leading and Ground Manners- Level 1 Major is a gentleman to handle on the ground and is easily led in a regular halter and cotton lead rope.
• Grooming and Tacking- Level 1 Major stands quietly in the crossties and is easy to saddle and bridle.  He doesn't always enjoy intense grooming on his belly and flanks
• Horse Care- Level 1 Major is adjusting well to being barefoot and maintains well on our regular rations.
• Riding- Level 1/2 Major was a bit unsure about his transition to riding when we first began with him, but his strong work ethic has him adjusting quickly and he tries very hard to do whatever is asked of him.  He is uncertain if he should trot or pace under saddle, but will do either, and has offered a few canter strides as well.  He has a cute way of going and wants to package himself up nicely, but also wants to look at new and scary things closely to evaluate them.
• General Demeanor- Level 1 Major mostly keeps to himself in turnout, but doesn't take any nonsense from the rowdy younger geldings.  He has no stall vices.
• Physical Capability- Level 3 Major retired with no notable injuries and is suitable for most careers.
