From So Fake So Phony's owner:

"Ponzi" is a 5 year old, drop-dead gorgeous Thoroughbred with a heart of gold. He stands 16.1 hands high, and has been completely sound and willing to work on any task. The past few months have been difficult for me for personal reasons. I haven't been able to ride recently. However, Ponzi and I have continued to play doing ground work.

Ponzi lunges well on a line and also has learned to enjoy free-lunging in the round pen. He is attentive, mindful of his ground manners around humans, and enjoys learning new voice commands. Ponzi is always eager to please. When he does a good job, he seems to know, and he likes to give me a good nuzzle to prove it. My neighbor has several horses, and she has allowed me to turn out Ponzi with a group of geldings. Like most former racehorses, Ponzi has had to learn herd manners, and he has made much progress in that regard. I have also invited many of my friends to groom Ponzi and hang out with him in the paddock. He enjoys new people and is very gentle with everyone.

Because Ponzi is still young, I would recommend that he go to a confident rider in the intermediate to advanced range of experience. It was my intention to work lower level dressage with Ponzi. I believe he would make an excellent mount for any English discipline. Ponzi is instantly responsive to cues and is always willing to try to collect his frame and drop his head with just the slightest bump.
